I am a Board-Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. I have more than 15 years of experience performing over 7,000 minimally invasive spine procedures including sacroiliac joint fusions and motion preservation surgery.

 

A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, I earned my undergraduate degree in science from Georgetown University, and my medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. This was followed by completing a residency in orthopedic spine surgery at Louisiana State University and a spine fellowship at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 

My philosophy embodies the minimal invasive approach to surgery and have techniques so that my patients can return to their lifestyles as quickly as possible. During my career, I have mastered a unique set of minimally invasive skills to conduct surgeries with state-of-the-art modern techniques to facilitate outpatient surgeries in an ambulatory care setting.  Throughout my professional career, I have provided effective guidance to both team members and patients and coupled with astute decision capabilities have been able to perform minimally invasive spine surgeries in a safe yet efficient manner.  My organization and analytical skills have allowed me to establish successful treatment plans, allowing me to build a strong rapport with my patients. 

 

In free time I enjoy skiing, working out, spending time with my family, and watching sports
